Equity Loan Scheme Guide is an independent website that explains England's new "Your First Home" equity loan for first-time buyers, announced in September 2026, and helps you work out the numbers with a free calculator.

We are not the government, Homes England, a housebuilder or a lender, and this is not an official site for the scheme. We can't register you, process an application or arrange a mortgage. The scheme's own rules and registration will come from the government; we link to them as soon as they're published.

Everything here is general information, not financial advice. We aren't authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to give mortgage advice, so we don't tell anyone which mortgage or scheme to choose.
